Baltic Independence
The Baltic states gained their independence from 1990-1991, each declaring their independence on different times but still gainining it through a joint effort. The independence dates were: 11th of March, 1990 for Lithuania, 20th of August, 1991 for Estonia and 21st of August, 1991 for Latvia . The Baltic States's independence was caused by the joint action taken by the national movements in each of this three nations; Popular Front of Estonia Rahvarinne, the Popular Front of Latvia and the Lithuanian Reform Movement Sajūdis. These three national maovements joined forces in order to create non-violent protest between the three nations, such as the Baltic Way and the Singing Revolution, which led to the independence of these nations from Soviet Communism.
